Atelier du Vitrail
An atelier (French: [atəlje], "workshop" or "studio") is, in English, the private workshop or studio of a professional artist in the fine or decorative arts, where a principal master and a number of assistants, students, and apprentices can work together producing pieces of fine art or visual art released under the master's name or supervision.

Now located in a renovated 1890 thread mill in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Wilmark looks forward to working with new artists helping them to actualize their visions into glass.
Previously in New York area and Massachusetts studios, Wilmark has worked with many fine artists.
Here are three of the very best.
Sylvia Nicolas
Born in Holland, Sylvia Nicolas is the fourth generation of master stained glass artists. Her father, Joep Nicolas, is known as “the father of modern stained glass.”
Nicolas studied extensively in Europe. Her works range from stage sets and 24-foot high stained glass windows to terra cotta sculptures that can be held in one hand.
Sylvia's works delve into the passions, psychology and humor of the human condition, touching people with their universal appeal.
A small panel of Sylvia's work has hung at Wilmark Studios for many years.
Getting a call to fabricate glass for Sylvia after admiring her work for so long was a great thrill.
Working with her is an honor. Getting to know her is a delight!
Our first collaboration was for the Ruane Center at Providence College which Wilmark installed in 2017.
Our second was at St. Anselm's College in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Our most recent project with Sylvia was St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Robert Pinart
Born in Paris, Robert moved to America in 1951, the same year that Mark was born.
In 1993 Robert received a LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD from the Stained Glass Association of America
Robert passed away on October 1, 2017 at age 90 leaving behind an extensive body of work.
Mark had the honor of serving as Robert's atelier during the final two decades of his career.
The two men had a sweet, intimate relationship sharing rich conversations and successful artistic collaborations which continued until the end of Robert's life.

Mordechai Rosenstein
Mordechai Rosenstein is the king of Jewish graphic design!
Wilmark is thrilled to have worked with him on several occasions.
His artistic style seen in his popular print work translates very well to the strong colors found in the glass palette.
Mordechai blends his love of Judaism and his love of Jazz into strong colored visuals, enhanced by his deep understanding and mastery of Hebrew calligraphy.
The results are exciting, bright and joyful images.
