This project was an exceptional one. Jeanette Carr, Director of Senior Programs at OMJCC 1972-1991, invited me to help her to create a piece for what would become the Senior Lounge.

It was 1990 and a new building was under construction. We met in Jeanette's offsite office and managed to design an amazingly detailed piece.
 

Committed, highly skilled women took sections of the quilt home and worked on them independently, then we put it altogether, including the hand quilting, a techniques that is rarely done these days.

It’s wonderful to see the piece back up on a wall!
