Synagogue Textiles
As an artist, my work is about bringing color and light into the world.
As an educator, my goal is to empower others to take risks and to embrace their own creativity.
As a Jew, my commitment is to celebrate life to its fullest, acknowledging the power of both Source and community.
I began my life's work as a Judaic artist in the 1980's working ar UAHC Camp Swig in Saratoga, California. Over the past many years I have created Torah covers and ark curtains for (and with) communities of all sizes and affiliations.
I use assorted techniques in order to create one-of-a-kind ritual objects that meet the needs-- visual and spiritual-- of the specific congregation, often actively involving community members in the process.
